Selecting a Watch for an Important Milestone

Start with the meaning, not the model. What are you marking — a promotion, an anniversary, a graduation, a new chapter? The watch should connect to the moment, not just to a brand name.
Consider timelessness over trend. A milestone watch is often kept for decades, so a design that will still feel right in twenty years is usually a safer choice than the most fashionable reference today.
Think about how it will be worn. Will it be a daily wearer or saved for special occasions? A daily milestone watch should be robust and versatile; an occasional piece can be more refined.
Size and comfort matter more than usual, because you'll want to actually wear it. A watch that's too large or too small for the wearer's wrist will sit in a drawer.
Most importantly, take your time. A milestone should not be rushed. At YAR, we help you try several options and choose the one that feels right — with no pressure to decide on the spot.
